On Wednesday, October 25, 2023. Detectives with Rhea County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics served an arrest warrant at America’s Best Value Inn room #109 in Dayton TN. During the arrest of James Dylan Smith for active warrants out of Rhea County for Violation of Probation and Criminal Impersonation, Detectives noticed drug equipment and packaging in plain view inside of room. During the investigation the following narcotics, firearm and US Currency was seized:
Fentanyl- 21.4 grams (214 sales of Fentanyl with a street value of $4280)
Methamphetamine -57.4 gams (287 sales of Methamphetamine with a street value of $5740)
Marijuana- 20.1 grams (20 Marijuana sales with a street value of $200)
Hi-Point semi auto 9mm caliber pistol $239 in US Currency
James Dylan Smith and Chloe Renee Everett were arrested and charged following the investigation.
James Dylan Smith is a convicted Felon out of Rhea County for Aggravated Burglary and is currently on active probation for Methamphetamine possession.
