This morning, Sheriff John Argo, Chief Deputy Hall, Detective Huskey, Lieutenant Rice, Sgt. Flory, and SRD Moore, along with members of Rhea County Fire, Rhea EMS, Dayton Police Department, Dayton Electric, Dayton Library, and Jewell Farm, spent the morning with students at Frazier Elementary School and New Union Baptist Mother’s Day Out for their Touch-a-Truck event.
We enjoyed the opportunity to interact with the students, show them the Rhea County Sheriff’s Office SWAT armored vehicle and Mobile Command Truck, and explain how these specialized resources are used to support our community during emergencies and other critical incidents.
Events like this provide a great opportunity for our first responders and community partners to connect with our students, answer their questions, and give them a closer look at the equipment and people who serve our community.
We sincerely appreciate Frazier Elementary School and New Union Baptist Mother’s Day Out for inviting us and giving us the opportunity to spend time with the students. We are proud to be part of events that strengthen the relationship between our community and those who serve it.
