Earlier today, Rhea County Sheriff’s Office and Rhea County Emergency Management responded to Watts Bar Lake to assist the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) and Meigs County Fire Rescue with an incident involving an injured individual on a pontoon boat.
Upon arrival, Rhea County Sheriff Marine 1 located the pontoon boat with an injured party aboard. First responders immediately began life-saving measures and transported the individual to the Watts Bar Dam boat ramp, where additional medical personnel were standing by.
