n the early morning hours of Saturday, December 21st, Rhea County Sheriff’s Department Deputies were dispatched to the area of Walden Mountain Road on Shut In Mountain in Spring City for a 911 hang-up. Upon arrival, Sergeant Chris Rice found 2 individuals standing on the side of the road. After a brief interaction, a foot pursuit began with 3 subjects. Rhea County Sheriff’s Department K-9s and Rhea County Emergency Management (EMA) Drones were dispatched to the area to assist. Two suspects were detected by EMA Deputy Director Karson Dye’s drone via heat sensors. EMA kept an eye on the suspects and K-9 Blondie tracked directly to their location resulting in the arrest of 2 individuals. Upon arrest, the suspects disclosed that they were part of a single vehicle wreck. Their vehicle was found flipped upside down in the woods a significant distance from Sgt. Rice’s initial interaction with the suspects.
James Holland was arrested and charged with Evading Arrest, Resisting and Public Intoxication.
Angel Bullington was arrested and charged with Evading Arrest and Public Intoxication.
